OARC Membership Announcement
We are excited to announce that the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the DNS Operations, Analysis, and Research Center (DNS-OARC) will be held on October 12, 2023 as an online only meeting. This event serves as a crucial moment for our organization, where members come together to discuss important matters, review the achievements of the past year, and shape the future of DNS-OARC.
Board Elections
One of the key items on the agenda for this AGM is the Rotation of OARC Directors. As per our organization’s guidelines, this means that four Board seats are to be filled through election at this year’s AGM.
We are looking for passionate and dedicated candidates who are willing to serve a two-year term on the Board and contribute actively to the ongoing development of DNS-OARC.
Board seats are held in an individual capacity, separate from the Member organizations.
If your Member organization is interested in nominating a candidate, we kindly ask that you send an email to <board2023@dns-oarc.net> with a brief statement detailing the nominee’s background and platform.
As part of the nomination process, candidates must be nominated by a DNS-OARC Member in good standing and should be employed by or affiliated with that Member organization at the time of nomination. Additionally, please be aware that no Member organization is allowed to nominate more than one candidate.
As the Bylaws specify that one-half of the Board is to rotate each year, we intend to re-balance this to 3 in 2024 by appointing the 4th-ranked candidate in the 2023 election for a 1 year term only.
The deadline for submitting Board nominations is 23:59 PDT on September 10th. All nominations will be published online along with a list of current nominees on September 11th. This will enable members to review the potential candidates before the AGM.
