DNS-OARC is finally heading to Atlanta, GA, USA, two years after it was originally supposed to take place there. COVID-19 had other plans!

OARC’s 40th Workshop will be a hybrid online and in-person meeting at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis on February 16th and 17th — immediately after NANOG 87 (February 13th-15th) in the same venue.

NOTE: OARC will only run two Workshops in 2023.

OARC 40 in February; OARC 41 is currently planned for September.

OARC 40 Call for Presentations

The Call for Presentations is currently open. Proposals are being accepted until January 5th, 2023. To read the CfP and submit your proposal, please look at the Call for Presentations page.

Attending OARC 40

Attending DNS-OARC Workshops is open to all OARC members and other parties interested in DNS operations and research.

NANOG 87 attendees are particularly welcome as both meetings will have complementary and non-overlapping content.

Discounted early bird registrations (with additional discounts for delegates from OARC member organisations) are now available (until January 25th). Further details and Registration links are on the OARC 40 Registration Page.

COVID-19 Protocol

With most workshop attendees working on DNS — which is critical infrastructure — we must take responsibility to ensure a safe event.

People attending OARC 40 onsite in Atlanta are required to

  • be fully vaccinated no later than February 2nd, 2023 (where available, to include booster shot)
  • provide proof of full vaccination on badge pickup
  • proof of Negative Rapid Antigen Test result (test to be taken within 12 hours before badge pick-up)
  • stay away / isolated if tested positive for COVID-19

We also encourage

  • pre-travel Rapid Antigen Test
  • workshop Day 2 Rapid Antigen Test
  • wearing a mask on-site during the sessions

If you do not meet the requirements we request that you join us for OARC 40 virtually.

Full details about the COVID-19 Protocol and on-site process are on the OARC 40 COVID-19 Protocol page.

Funding for OARC 40

DNS-OARC workshops represent a unique opportunity to increase the visibility of your organization, products and services to the key influencers who operate the Internet’s DNS and other key players in the global Internet community.

OARC aims to keep its workshops self-sustainable and thus relies on sponsorship as one part of funding to meet the total (including non-venue and non-workshop days) costs associated with running the workshops and related social events. We are open to sponsorship, patronage and donations.
