First, we extend a heartfelt thank you to Suzanne Woolf, John Todd, and Hazel Smith, who have completed their terms. We also acknowledge Petr Špaček, the outgoing Programme Committee Chair, and Ben Schwartz, both of whom have stepped down early. Their hard work and dedication have been key to delivering the high-quality program content the DNS-OARC community expects and values.
Welcome the 2025 Programme Committee
We are pleased to welcome Merike Kaeo and Marcelo Gardini as the newest members of the Programme Committee, and we’re delighted to see Willem Toorop rejoining the team. Cathy Almond, Puneet Sood, Tijay Chung, and Raffaele Sommese are returning to the PC, bringing valuable experience, continuity, and dedication to the team.

Cathy Almond, Chair(ISC)
Cathy Almond, elected as the 2025 Programme Committee Chair, works with the Internet Systems Consortium (ISC), where she plays a pivotal role supporting DNS infrastructure. With years of experience in DNS operations and advocacy, Cathy brings strong leadership to the PC.

Puneet Sood is a Technical Program Manager at Google, where he focuses on DNS infrastructure and innovative systems for resilient networking. His experience in managing large-scale DNS services makes him a valuable asset to the team.

Tijay Chung is an accomplished researcher and professor with expertise in network measurement, internet security, and DNS privacy. His work at the intersection of academia and DNS operations is well-respected in the community.

Raffaele Sommese (University of Twente)
Raffaele is an assistant professor at the University of Twente, specializing in Internet resilience and stability. During his PhD, he focused on DNS resilience, analyzing DDoS attacks, investigating misconfigurations and vulnerabilities, and devising countermeasures to mitigate threats to DNS infrastructures. His current research explores strategies to enhance transparency in the DNS ecosystem to prevent abuse and malicious behaviors.

Willem Toorop (NLnet Labs)
Willem Toorop is a Senior Developer and Research Engineer at NLnet Labs, where he works on DNS software, such as NSD and Unbound, as well as Internet Measurements and Standards Development. His contributions to DNS tools and standards play a critical role in the DNS ecosystem

DNS-OARC is ready for another year of great ideas, collaboration, and engaging workshops, thanks to this talented and dedicated team. As we speak, the Programme Committee is hard at work on the upcoming OARC 44 Program, ensuring another outstanding agenda for the community.
